What are the requirements to use the bar security software?
The software works with Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Vista. The minimum requirements is a Pentium 800 Megahertz Processor+ Windows 98, ME. XP, 2000, Vista and 256 mbs ram. For optimal performance we recommend using a Pentium 4 processor, with Windows XP, and 512 megabytes ram.
Do the camera sytems need to be professionally installed?
No. All of our bar security camera systems can be installed right out of the box by you. If you can setup a VCR, then you can setup our camera sytems. The only physical part of setting up the camera system is mounting the cameras. This is easily done with a screw driver.
Do I need anything else to operate a security system?
Other than already having a computer system, no. Our security systems come with everything you need to get up and running fast. These are complete systems and include all hardware. Just install the software on your computer, setup up the cameras and you are ready to go.
What is a Plug and Play connection camera?
It is an RCA Video plug and a power plug on the camera for easy connection to the quad. This is done by running the RCA (Aux) line into the VIDEO IN.
Do plug and play cameras require wire to feed the signal?
Yes, you need the length of cable to reach from the camera to the quad. You can connect multiple cables to one camera to reach the length needed.
Can I use multiple Cameras?
Yes, our bar security software supports up to 4 cameras recording at the same time.
Do I need a VCR to record what the cameras see?
No, the security software installed records everything to your computer.
What kind of Alert features does the software have?
The software can email you a warning every time it detects motion. You can have the email sent to your phone, pager, office or other communication device that is capable of receiving emails. The warning can consist of the specific motion that triggered the alert (e.g. a stranger in your bar after closing), a text message or both.
What is motion detection and how does that work?
Motion detection is a powerful feature of the program that will record and notify you of video only when it detects motion. Motion is triggered by movement such as someone walking in the room. This feature is helpful because it only begins storing video when it detects motion. This also makes it easy for you to see. The program gives you full control to set the sensitivity of the motion, from small to very precise levels.
