You can paste into the columns for product names, product costs, pour/serving sizes, and regular prices from an outside spreadsheet. You cannot paste data into columns with a drop-down menu: product vendor names, bottle/keg/case sizes, and densities from an outside source. However, you can copy/paste duplicate data in those columns as shown above.

To paste data into Bar Cop from an outside source like an Excel spreadsheet, right click and copy the data from the source (any data copied from an outside source to paste into Bar Cop must be formatted in single columns when copied. Do not copy and paste data from merged columns).

Next, select the first cell in Bar Cop where you want the column data to begin and click the Bar Cop paste icon.

Important: When pasting a list of product names from an outside source, you have to first add the number of product rows needed in setup before pasting. For example, if you are pasting a list of 100 products into Bar Cop, make sure you have a minimum of 100 product rows added.

The data should now be listed in the column that you pasted into.

Things to know:

1) When copying from an outside source like an Excel spreadsheet, data must be in single cell structured columns (cells are not merged together). You cannot paste data into columns with drop-down menus.

2) Once data has been pasted, it can only be undone by directly deleting the data or deleting the file. If you make a mistake pasting data and it cannot be easily deleted, click the save file icon and rename the file to something like "trash file". Close the "trash file" and then delete it. Reopen the previous file and try pasting again.
