How to copy and paste data
Bar Cop makes it simple for you to copy and paste data both inside the software and also paste data into Bar Cop from an outside source like an Excel spreadsheet.
To copy and paste within Bar Cop, first select the cell with the data that you want to copy and then click the copy icon. Once the copy icon is clicked, the data that you want to copy will have a dotted outline.
Next select the area that you want to paste into by clicking and dragging the mouse until the entire area is highlighted.
The last step is clicking the paste icon. This will paste the copied data into the highlighted cells.
You can paste into the columns for product names, product costs, pour/serving sizes, and regular prices from an outside spreadsheet. You cannot paste data into columns with a drop-down menu: product vendor names, bottle/keg/case sizes, and densities from an outside source. However, you can copy/paste duplicate data in those columns as shown above.
To paste data into Bar Cop from an outside source like an Excel spreadsheet, right click and copy the data from the source (any data copied from an outside source to paste into Bar Cop must be formatted in single columns when copied. Do not copy and paste data from merged columns).
Next, select the first cell in Bar Cop where you want the column data to begin and click the Bar Cop paste icon.
The data should now be listed in the column that you pasted into.Support questions? Contact support Pre-sales questions? Contact sales
