How to run Bar Cop.
Step-by-step guides for every part of the app. Keep this open in a second window while you work, so you can follow along on your own screen.
Set Your Business Profile
Business Profile holds your operation's details: your name and location, the service periods you run, and the tax settings a few screens read. It is where Bar Cop learns the shape of your venue.
1. Set your service periods
Open Settings → Business Profile. Service periods are the dayparts you run, like Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, and Late Night. They are not cosmetic: they set every shift-type field across Bar Cop, including the schedule, cash tolerances, and the Recovery daypart breakdowns. Turn on the ones you run, and add a custom one if your venue runs something different.
2. Set your tax and filing details
Your sales tax rate and how often you file are set here, and Cash Position reads them to carve the tax you owe out of your Safe to Spend. Set them once and the cash tools stay honest.
Your sales numbers do not come from here. They come from the weeks you close in Close The Week. Until your first week is in, the audits ask once for last week's bar and food sales; after that your closed weeks drive everything.
