How to run Bar Cop.
Step-by-step guides for every part of the app. Keep this open in a second window while you work, so you can follow along on your own screen.
Track Permits and Licenses
Licensing tracks every permit and license with its renewal date so a lapse never sneaks up on you. Enter each one once and Bar Cop watches the calendar for you.
1. Enter each permit and license
Open Books → Licensing. Add each permit or license with its next renewal date. Bar Cop flags it as the date nears: due soon within 30 days, more urgent within 14, and expired once it passes.
2. Work what needs attention
Anything due soon or expired shows under Needs Attention here and under Coming Due on the Books overview, so it is in front of you before it bites. When you renew one, click Mark Renewed to advance the date and log the cost to Operating Expenses under Licenses and Permits in one step.
Bar Cop tracks the dates you enter; it does not verify a permit is valid with any agency, and it is not legal advice.
